Been some time, I know. Between school, work, and everything else I've had no time to blog or do much in the way of anything related to recording the events of my life into an organized semblance of order.

School has been going alright, though the little class time I do go to is spent sleeping or absorbed in my work book trying to actually learn something. I do think I'm doing good in class as I haven't been told otherwise by the instructor or by the main office; I've made friends at school as well, the whole class is pretty tight and everyone knows someone else at least well enough to have a conversation with them whilst having a cigarette on breaks. I may dislike my school and the way they do things, but I do like the people and honestly I would not go anywhere else to find a better group of guys and girls (even though there are literally five on the whole campus!).

Work. Oh my, work is a complete drag. I managed to get work at a loading dock in Mount Pearl back in September when I had a few weeks exempt from school; at that point I was working overnights and Sundays. Since my class schedule changed, I had to take a different shift at work (5:00 until 1:00) and for a while I was pulling 40-hours a week and getting a very hefty paycheck, but because I was falling asleep everywhere, I had to cut my hours down to three shifts a week including the Sunday shift. The pay is still decent enough and it's enough time during the week that I can have a social agenda on the side.

Speaking of my social agenda, I've been hanging out with a lot of new people and meeting some very interesting characters in the past many months, though I haven't seen much of my old friends and they always have other engagements when I call them to hang out, it saddens me that I'm growing apart from people I was so close to in the past, but such is life and such is the nature of the beast. At least we are still friends and we do think of each other as such.

Christmas this year was very well received by me, since I usually get very depressed around Christmas due to events in the past. I got everything I asked for; the section under the tree for me holds the following: two Slayer CDs (Seasons In The Abyss and South Of Heaven), A Slayer DVD (The Unholy Alliance Tour), some Lego, a mouse for my laptop, some socks and underwear, a few pounds (I kid you not) of candy and chocolate, and some gadgets that inspire the child inside me to play with. This year, I started a new tradition, I'm going to get mellowed out from Christmas Eve to Boxing day and then again on New Years Eve. The time went by and things that happened were awesome, again met new people and had a blast. The things I come up with are "hilarious" and "[I'm] a very funny guy" so say a few people I know whom I have quoted and those are actual quotes from them.

The season is not without it's downside, however. This year I never got to go to Zack's house for his annual birthday overnight party since he couldn't get the time off work and I fear he won't have one before school starts. I did get a little depressed this year as well, but it passed very quickly when the weed came around.
